Are we expecting a lower CPI for next month?
Isn’t PPI a precursor metric?
Trying to remember my econ..

It can be, but it's far from a 1:1 metric. At best, it gives a general idea of likely movement direction for CPI 30-60 days out.

It’s a great print, but 2yr rates are basically unchanged and 10y rates are higher on the day. The stock and bond market hasn’t really reacted to it at all. Kind of strange IMO.

Sounds like people are holding cash to hedge a little, hoping the inflation trend continues but worried about a recession. Maybe waiting to hear what JPow says next?

I think traders are just reacting to the tariff news.
Lot of damage has been done to market technical and it'll take a lot of time to get things sorted out.

As an added point, gold just hit $3k/oz while crypto continues its nosedive. Gives me a little stronger belief that money is moving to established shelters.
