I don't think you can apply with multiple banks. Seems lik e one of the questions on the appl. was whether or not you have applied elsewhere for an SBA loan.

You technically can't but the first to get an SBA loan # (tied to EIN) owns the loan. The other just gets rejected by the SBA.

Email incoming to you.

I am an underwriter for a regional bank. We have processed over 2000 apps but SBA approval is slow as the system crashes often.

Our owner is still getting the runaround. Would you mind posting his email again?

We filed ours with a local bank on opening day. Received the SBA loan allocation/number (I don’t know the correct term) over that weekend.

We’ve had a week of red tape, but that ends Monday when we will be funded.

We are fortunate.

You are most welcome.

I'm going to leave my email up. Anyone in need shoot me an email. Like I said, we are all in this together!

The banker I’m working with at GCB&T texted me yesterday and said all applications in their queue as of her text would be processed/funded. Which would be both of ours.

Sorry I missed this post earlier.

Did you connect with Robert?

I know it’s frustrating. It’s one reason why we have to rely on each other. I’m a lot smaller than you but we are all in the same boat. The baking system is bullshite. We have to find the ones that want to build relationships and work with us.

It’s your bank, not the SBA. The process is up to them. Each bank is different.

Yikes. Ours has been communicating with me regularly and we’re talking about ~$20k (sole-proprietorship) and we aren’t a current GCB&T customer.

Our bank wasn’t doing them initially so I jumped on with Gulf Coast.

FWIW - GC seems to have it together. Their website portal was ahead of most. Afraid they are overloaded logistically with trying to process what they have in house. Not different from any other small bank that is in the game. Probably better shot then a Cap One who has yet to allow an application. Not many banks are accepting apps from business that was not a customer when this started.
