Overall, nothing fundamentally changed with the company so these two announcements aren't enough to make me jump ship.
You do you but there is nothing “fundamental” about PLTR at $120 a share coming into today.

Yep, I took my stop loss off. I have a feeling that PLTR will not be subject to or will not be greatly limited by the cuts

I'm Holding but getting tougher with each day dropping.

Awesome time to buy, right now....

It missed being a 6 bagger for me. Right now, I am at 4.8. I will take that, but my plan was always centered around holding PLTR for 10 years.
That being said, The defense dept. cuts should not affect it in the short, or long, term. They are providing value to many depts. in govt. and the private sector. they are also making inroads to international capital.

I think I got a 5 banger out of it and then sold out only because I thought I found a better option. If that pays off for me, I will fold some of that right back into PLTR. I just see them as all over all the NEW defense spending, I think their software will be in most defense systems. I see big things for them and Anduril in the government with new tech and cheaper defense options all together. I agree, they will continue to dominate the private sector as well.

Thoughts for this week's price action? Do you think the gap fill towards the low 80s is probable?
Posted on 2/24/25 at 9:12 am to CajunTiger78
What is your goal? Are you longer term, 5 or more years or are you a buy and sell short termer? If you are long term, great buying opportunity right now, if you are a short termer, I wouldn't touch it.

It is at $87.81, right now, in pre-market.

Who else has held strong since the dip? I think this stock has held its own very well during this volatile time filled with uncertainty.
Palantir: Positioned to Benefit from Government Spending Efficiency
Basically, what holders of this stock were saying the day of defense budget cut announcements. The company is based on efficiency, so why would budget cuts hurt them at all when they are going to have more marketshare of the efficiency projects our government is putting in place?

Palantir: Positioned to Benefit from Government Spending Efficiency
quote:
Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:PLTR) is a leading provider of artificial intelligence systems. On March 3rd, Daniel Ives from Wedbush maintained a “Buy” rating on the stock with a price target of $120.00. According to Ives, Palantir is positioned well to gain from Trump’s new cost-cutting measures to streamline government spending. The stock had previously plunged after the Trump administration proposed an 8% annual cut in the US defense budget.
This move potentially hurt the company’s financial health since over 40% of Palantir (NASDAQ:PLTR)’s revenue comes from government contracts. As per Ives, despite the belief that defense budget cuts could affect Palantir’s government contracts, the efficiency focus could in turn boost company growth. The analyst highlighted Palantir’s unique software offerings and crucial contract participation, stating that these are unlikely to be impacted. The analysis has since brought relief after the stock plunge.

Palantir is 'one of the best AI plays in the world'
quote:
The bears are in hibernation mode and in their spreadsheets, they can't see AI. And if you focus just on valuation, you missed every transformational growth stock the last 20 years. And Palantir, they hated at 15, despised it at 50, yelling at 100. It's going to continue. Again, it's like right now, this is being what I view as one of the best AI plays in the world.

Wasn't Tesla at 1000/1 at some point a couple of years ago??
Sure seems like basic fundamentals are out the window.
