Hammered Tesla puts all week; finished up +1000% or something. I haven’t traded actively in a while and wasn’t very productive at work so I can’t do that very often.

Nice job.
I'm still just hanging on to my uvxy short call position at the moment

Are you looking at doing some earnings trades?

TSLA on deck after hours tomorrow. 72% IV and 99% IV percentile! Who dares to test the option waters with this one?
I’ll likely do a smallish 10-12 delta short put play in my investment account. It’s been beaten down pretty badly of late. But if nothing is said on the call about addressing the growing low price Chinese EV competition with a higher volume, but lower margin vehicle, like a “Model 2”, more selling pressure could hit.
But at some price, it’s at least worth it to date TSLA (as a tradeable), though I have no desire to buy it a ring. We’ve “dated” many times over the years, and its high IV and price fluctuations have typically made me good money. But let’s see how it pans out this time.

Almost did a PMCC on it but went with AMZN and Goog. But I am now looking to find a long term entry.

Nice trade, that should easily fall out the money.
My UVXY short calls doing well after this little volatility slide.

I took TSLA 169,165,170 and 200Cs last week when they were dirt cheap. Did you listen to the call? Not one but two FSD contracts coming (granted multi year implementation for other OEMs), Optimus well on the path to usage in 5 years, staying focused on traditional business (cost cutting) and saying but not saying the $25k car is going to be announced next earnings (I think he said Aug 3)

Well played.

4/26 expiration? Are you exiting or holding?
I didn’t get a chance to listen to the call, but the market reaction has certainly been positive.

Yeah 4/26, sold most this morning

I did Roku, Amzn, Google. Holding tsm longs in 2025

Ended up doing no earnings trades. Thought about Google but opted not to. I've kind of come to the realization I optimize profit/stress levels sticking with volatility trades.

Looks like 2 wins.

Popping in to bump this thread. It's one of the best on all of TigerDroppings imo.
Update: I have now made my initial investment back on my PMCC on DJT. I got in at a low and this last run up allowed me to sell calls at a high price. Will sell another tomorrow.

A good bit of action on both sides (up & down) of the market this week. Apart from my standard 0DTE SPX trades, in my investment account I did play some earnings: PAG (Penske - my pick for President if I’m ever made king

AMZN has been a beast for me. I have almost doubled my investment plus selling calls and best spreads
Another I have been watching since the split was Walmart. It appears to be a slow moving stock. Plays between 58.5 and 60 5. After watching I decided to step in and buy a few hundred shares when it dipped below 59. Sold it today for about 85 per 100 shares.
Been a good week.

I’m assuming you sold covered calls. If so, what strike and expiration did you sell?
WMT earnings come out pre-market on 5/16 (goes ex-div by probably $.2075 on 5/9). I’ll likely do something with weekly 5/17 options that week.

Jag, other than short volatility calls I've been selling some leap puts on margin, in companies I wouldn't find holding at a lower valuation. Well not quite leap but say, December, January. I've been finding it a little easier to manage with work.

This week? Last one was 197.5. Been selling them for a year or more.

I'm going to do spreads.

Any other earnings you all are looking at?
I purchased AMD call spreads after it dropped. Did well in closing today.
