Nice. Another nice little pop today. Did you have 2/17 expiration?

Just sold some 1DTE SPX put spreads. Had more time today to be glued to my screens. They’ve already collapsed. Entered 2/17 short puts on ROKU at 7 delta ahead of earnings. Expected move +/- 9.85. IV 95%, IV percentile 52%. Lot of juice in that (but for a reason).

Yes, it was 2/17 expiry. Paid $3.20 and sold for $11.50. I held one of them and may exercise it. Then today I grabbed some $220 calls for 1.80 that are up 40%+ at $2.54.

I’ll sell those in the mrng. I grabbed some April VIX calls & a 3/17 $17 VALE call today as well.

You’ve made some nice long premium plays.

With IV this low, I have a gut feeling that those long VIX calls aren’t a bad move at this point. Especially out into April. Mind sharing your strike?

VIX 4/19 $24 at 1.81/call

UVXY 3/17 $5 at .45/call

VALE 3/17 $17 at .57/call

I did incredible with RIOT today as well. Had a lot of $7 calls for .04 that I sold for over 300% profits at around .17 .18 and .20. Got really lucky on these and glad I avgd down.

I’m typically a short premium seller. But I like that Apr. strike at 24 on VIX. I just looked at the 21 because of a better PoP. But if VIX pops (as I expect it to prior to April expiration), the 24s at that purchase price are going to print nicely.

I hear you! I got 2 $180 calls when it was $150. It ran to $190. I made over $7k on that trade. Kicking myself for not loading up or exercising one. Think I will exercise my $205 call and just sit on those 100 shares.

Yea I normally don’t like anything that’s far OTM but it’s a gamble hedge bc I think a massive rug pull is coming.

I agree. Too much complacency in the market now. In low vol environments, pure debit trades make sense.

What do you think about Tesla? Hoping it opens at $215

I’d say that’s likely. Up another 1.68 in AH to 215.92. The StochRSI isn’t as extended as one might expect. Toppy, but not outrageous. It’s done some backfilling along the way with this sharp run up. So I’d be afraid to pick the top here.

I am 99% sure I will pull the trigger and exercise my call. Just nervous.

I know the feeling. I got caught on the bad side (short calls) of a short TSLA iron condor and wound up doing backflips to lessen the loss/pain. Long story short, after a roll for a credit, I closed it for a loss, but decided to buy stock at 194 and change. Sold multiple calls and now the loss is a fairly fat winner if it closes above 212.50 on Friday. It wouldn’t really hurt my feelings if it closed at 212.49 and I got to sell some more calls.

But that was 100% luck… or God taking care of babies and fools (me! ). I made a series of blunders on that one!

Based on? continued inflation and a newly hawkish fed?

Looking for QQQ to bounce off $310 and SPY to top out at $418?

I still like $285 QQQ puts for mid March but I can’t commit. Got roasted on GOOG calls last week and still recovering. Didn’t think they’d get as punished and certainly thought a rebound would come sooner.

Pure speculation and gut feeling. Record number of families that have had to cash out early on 401k, record number of people on the brink of bankruptcy, massive numbers on food stamps that will be losing the covid supplement thru SNAP after this month, etc.

Nice!

I bought Mara and riot this mrng and just sold all of them for 310% profit. BTC is on fire. My TSLA is ripping as well. Sold my VIX and UVXY for around 28%.
