Where do you keep it, that you think it's secure, is the most important question.

why wouldn't you just put it into blockfi or nexo and collect interest?

Trezor is a very popular one as is Ledger Nano. I’d avoid the Ledger because they had some data breaches and I would not trust them now. Coldcard is what I’d get if I had a substantial amount of crypto to store as it’s the most secure of the 3. All 3 are better options than leaving on an exchange.

I’m using my ether wallet with metamask on my browser. Computer is only used for crypto stuff.

In theory I need several wallets - hot wallet to trade, cold storage wallet to store.

The hardware wallets increase security more as well.

and the wallet which collects interest is the most superior of them all

Which can theoretically be them all.

Depends what you want to do, you can trade in the one and have deposited tokens accruing interest in the others.

operate bunker style in crypto world- different emails for different things; exchanges / forums / cointrackers and send your hardware wallet to untraceable POBox or office is advisable.
Some wiseguy is mapping rich addresses on the mailing list and people's kids will be threatened for the seed words in the future.

No, the Ledger data leak did not leak the bitcoin addresses or any coin amount. It only leaked the physical mailing address that the Nano Ledger was shipped to (and emails associated). With that said, still not good at all.

No what? I never implied BTC addresses. You think the fake emails from "ledger support" is the end of the hack? I'd bet someone is making list of all the >$1M properties on the mailing list
