Relatively new to the NFT space and have only jumped in on one recently minted project. Curious if there’s any typical pattern to post mint value - I’d guess it dips as people sell non-rare NFTs and then stabilizes? Curious what y’all have seen or if it’s random.

It's not an exact science, but make sure there's a solid community, a solid team, and a solid roadmap. There has to be a reason for people to pay above mint once the project gets to market. You want a project that people will FOMO into.
If the project has 200 people on the discord who barely talk, then that project likely isn't selling above mint.
Basically, the project has to create FOMO. But, I think a lot of people (in SOL especially) just wait for secondary market so there's not a ton of buying pressure for most mints right now.

This is really helpful, thanks. I'm really digging the project, here are the details:
Party Horses
It's run by a fully doxxed team. Good money is funding the project outside of the NFT mint proceeds. Lead guy (Justin Delaney) is a successful entrepreneur and previously ran Buff City Soaps and has pivoted to Web3. Minted a couple of weeks ago and revealed last week.
Community is relatively strong (~4k members) and active enough that I can't keep up with the discord there's so much chatter.
Utility:
The project is generally derby/horse racing and bourbon focused at the moment. They are partnered with Makers Mark: Every WL/Pre-Game NFT comes with a 1 of 2000 Liter of MM. Every Party Horse comes with a 1 of 4k 1 liter of MM. The bottles are showing strong value on secondary market also.
They are also throwing a Derby Party with Diplo as the headliner entertainment, NFTs will have opt in for tickets. Future plans are around F1 races and they're exploring purchasing horses assuming they can get the legal aspects right.
I'm all in for the moment, just keeping an eye on the post-mint dip. I think it's mainly folks unloading common horses who were looking for a quick buck.

Pre-Mint NFTs were free (just gas), this got you a bottle, and unannounced utility down the road.
WL price for Horses was .148eth
Public was .2eth
Prices have been all over the place post reveal
