After spending time in the Piggy Sol Gang discord today, I have something to say that's probably been said many times already. I'm talking to people who are considering jumping into NFT trading, not some of the more experienced posters here.
People, PLEASE do not jump into NFT/crypto trading if you've never done any research on it. PLEASE do not invest more than you can afford to lose. PLEASE do not trade if you can't control your emotions. PLEASE do not panic if the market dips.
People lost a lot of money. They lost their life savings and their kids' college funds. There were people who angrily dumped their NFTs well below the floor, only for someone to flip them at 3X minutes later. There was a guy who threatened suicide.
Once the Coinbase NFT marketplace opens, this is going to get much worse. If you're new to crypto and NFT trading, there are a ton of great youtube videos on it that are enjoyable to watch. Please do your homework before jumping into this. It's a great way to make money AND a great way to lose it.

Well said, I heard it got pretty nuts in there. Alot of blood in the streets and panicked people in the space right now. Desperation everywhere...

max pain i'm going to enter a few different projects with active communities and ongoing innovation. that could be a year from now or a month. no clue. i just can't figure out if we really are in a crypto super cycle or not. (lower lows mostly) it seems possible with the etfs rolling out.
i'm mostly in coins now vs nfts, but macro i think the ridiculously high returns will be in nfts. the ride will be rough. solsea should have a recycling bin for all the garbage i've bought.

Yeah as crazy wild as the last few weeks were, things are settled in much lower ATM. SO, SO , SO many projects have come out and lots of people are waaaay over exposed and illiquid. Luckily I have caught a couple good pops along the ride and am solidly up liquid and still have some that I am happy to hold for as long as needed. I also have a pile of crap, that I'm taking some Ls on for that purchase, but They are things I don't believe in and am just happy to add any more liquidity from stuff I think will end up in the junk heap long term. I am also finding myself being much less inclined to take a shot on minting much of anything unless it's a cheap flyer or something. Like caught that Beluga whale mint from twitter the other night, got lucky got a top 30 and went ahead and got 10 out of it and moved on. couple weeks ago I would have held hoping to get 50+ out of that, but not right now. Just trying not to put too much in and take out whatever I can except for a select few keepers.

Good idea. I bought piggy sol gang at 1 last month, watched it pump to 23 but I still held on to it because I had fantasies of it becoming the next SMB. It crashed to 1 yesterday. What's worse is that I was airdropped a female pig and that floor pumped to 13 at its highest, but no I just held and it crashed too.
The floors are back up today but I should have never walked away from a 36X gain. That $6,000 would have gone a long way.

Yeah I think I’m just standing pat for the most part rn, maybe add another Crypto Cub and another Elixir before the Halloween mutation. And keeping my eye out for a steal on another Sockpass. Not overly interested in minting ATM.

since everybody has gone risk off. my degen play today is @SolanaSurfers for .4 at magic eden after hearing of the group in a twtr space.
verified it with grape in their discord, now i will be airdropped 1 nft from their next set. these two nfts will then give me a free "beach house" coming soon.
it's either going to 0 or going to produce something.
i dont have many other ideas except buy a bunch of cheap doge nfts and hope elon gets hooked.

Yeah I looked into the Surfers a few days ago. The Beach houses will be laid out like Steads (display your wallet)… could be a winner, I debated getting in just for the house

Seems like a bunch of young stoners running it. I like the drive to push on in a slow market without abandoning their early holders. Trippy surfer free, beach house maybe free or presale? then art for it.
Eth related: I dont have it in writing yet but I think I got in for furballs WL. Missed out on house of goblins, sucks. Both of these should do well.

Looking to snag another Sock Pass and another eggplant elixir, after flipping a BabyApe this afternoon.
Sold my free Cub, so looking to add another more rare Cub before mutation also. Will be looking to mutate 2 and hope for a green paw. Hanging on to my Platinum Grill OG, as the floor on those is already around 10 and with the supply cut in half after mutation, hopefully it'll stay solid. Really like the Cub roadmap and community.

Noob question. If I have an nft in my metamask wallet and want to sell on opensea, do I hold it until sold or is opensea a clearinghouse of sorts? Then I pay gas fee to send to buyer?

What are your thoughts on Women and Weapons. saw the day Gary Vee bought one of her first pieces. really like the style of art. I got in disco as soon as opened. think I'll grab as long as I can mint, but not on secondary.

You list on open sea, pick a price, approve txn.
Open sea holds it in escrow listed, then when it sells the contract handles it and they pay you out.
