noticing a little jostling between BCH and BCT, where BCH is continually increasing their marketshare and BTC is going down gradually as it appears investors are choosing to put their money into alts
my theory is that a lot of big whales are getting out of BTC and investing elsewhere (causing these "corrections" weve seen over the last week)
not sure how i feel about BTC coming down like this, but its interesting. time will tell if the trend continues

I bought BTC at 12,000. Feeling ill be moving most of what I have to Alts. Think there's more upside bang for my buck. Double down on XVG, Trx, fun, vib, xrp

I think this says a lot about the alts. Generally as BTC goes down, so do the alts. But the alts are staying steady, if not gaining traction.

I'd be careful with your strategy, not to mention the alts you're chasing. Alts are performing well as of late, and there have been recent indicators the alts can stand on their own amidst BTC uncertainty and dips. I hope this is the new norm, it would mean you're gonna do well, and my alts do well, etc.
But I fear if BTC surges you might get hung out to dry. People are heavy in alts now, the profit & % are too tempting. If BTC surges, they'll panic and start selling alts to chase BTC. History tells us that when BTC starts to run away, the alts suffer, badly (last 2 weeks though, not so doomsday). If this happens, you won't have any btc to buy alts on the cheap cheap.
There's so much profit to be made in alts, no need to throw more than 50% at it. BTC is king until proven otherwise.

And I'd stick to alts with staying power, general examples include NEO, 0x, REP, OMG, then look to some like ICX, Kyber, EOS. These don't get near enough mention on here. You want a privacy coin, buy Zcash, it has major interest and backing this right now.
General note for any of you monitoring alts in fiat/USD value, make sure you're paying attention to BTC value. Very important. Say BTC doubles (very roughly) to $25k, the alt value in USD might not change much. But that's roughly 100% lost profits had you been in btc.
Play the game to increase your BTC stack and you will make a lot of USD.

I have $150 in TRX and wanting to get around $300 maybe $500. really hoping to see big things this year. Not sure of what a realistic ceiling is by 2019-2020

I just started myself on both these sites a couple weeks ago using info from just this board to get started. I'm now invested in 6 different currencies between these 2 sites. I've saved some links from this thread and others started on this board about how to trade on these sites and haven't had any trouble with any of the tools anyone has provided here. If you search you should find some useful info.
The "Complete Guide to Buying Cryptocurrencies" link someone provided in another thread came in handy for me transferring coins from Coinbase to Binance.
