Another NEO hodler here. When I check its price Monday morning I nearly fell over though. Gonna continue to accumulate NEO for now and deleted my blockfolio so I'm not checking it every hour every day.

Have no idea what this means, but it sounds good.

Be glad you didn't check in yesterday.
You would have said a lot more than wtf
Today is a helluva lot better.

Back to a year ago, NEO completed its refundable ICO, the first ever in token-raising history, where about half of the participants were from outside of China. From Sept. 7, 2016 when the ICO took place, to Oct. 17, 2016 when NEO’s mainnet was launched, all participants were at liberty to demand full refund. Over the said period, there were 15 refund requests executed, amounting to a total of 50.308364 BTC.
Such refundable scheme had never been practiced before and has proved to protect the right of ICO participants effectively. With growth of the community, NEO has expanded from a China-based open-source project to a renowned and world-leading public blockchain supported by communities and developers from all around the world. Today, NEO Council has obtained sufficient resources to support its technological R&D and ecosystem development for the next few years. In light of the ever more explicit ICO regulation requirements released globally, we decide to extend the refund option. Those who participated in seed-round financing, ICO1 and ICO2 may contact contact@neo.org prior to Oct. 17, 2017 to be fully refunded after sending back all NEO tokens obtained from ICO.
I think this is just them getting ahead of the game. Basically, if you participated in the ICO and you deem the team did not fulfill their duties, they will refund you completely. I think its just a good jesture on their part knowing that I dont think anyone is going to do this.

In addition, NEO Council is making strenuous efforts in prompting NEO’s sustainable development under existing laws and regulations. In Q4 2017, NEO will work with international legal advisors to establish a legal framework which is compliant in major countries for smart contracts running on top of NEO to adopt.
Compliance is inevitable after the blockchain industry matures to a certain stage. From the very beginning, we decided to be compliant with laws and regulations in terms of the choices of design philosophy, consensus mechanism and governing model.
I mentioned earlier how they have always been about compliance. This is just them reassuring that. This tells the investors that the Neo team will work within the law and will stick around for a long time. The inevitable part might have just been a more kind way to say "after the ethereum ico shitstorm, we arent going to let that happen here so we are a safe investment platform to use."
To sum up yesterday, its all been good news to me.
1. Regulations are needed regarding ICOs
2. The team and founders are ahead of the game
3. ICO platform is just a small part of Neo
4. Neo shook away the herd money and made a good buy back in price for the smarts

Agreed I still think it's a valuable long term hodl. Not sure what the initial ICO was @ but why would anyone want a refund? It's still up 70% in the last 3 months.

On a side note does anyone own OK? It's up about 120% today. I'm not familiar with it though.

How do I buy NEO with funds I have in Gemini ?
Posted on 9/5/17 at 5:57 pm to CE Tiger
Transfer your funds from gemini to another exchange like bittrex.

Looks like neo working its way back up. Glad I didn't panic sell like last time and lose a few again. Finally transferred all completely to neon wallet so I can't touch them easily.

Also backed by Vitalik Buterin (Co-founder of Etherium) i've bought and sold OMG over the last month. Done pretty well. I do plan to buy and HODL some as well.

It's looking good right now. Not for buying but for the hodl. It recovered nicely from that disaster on Monday

I'm learning, I'm heavy in GNT and SYS at the moment and didn't panic sell yesterday, and both are back up today above where I bought them a few days ago.
First videos coming out for SYS
You're gonna be happy in the morning. Yuge day for sys. Always liked it before the revamp... killing it this week

another rough morning for NEO

Can you guys sell me on SYS. I'm invested in NEO and Lisk as holds for now. I'm looking for something under a $1 as I would like to have a dark horse in my portfolio plus it's always nice to buy low. Still learning so I'm being cautious as to how much I spend. I've been buying NEO and LSK $100 at a time.

Haven't read the article yet, but what would be the issue here? This is actually an exchange that is operational, not just some pipe dream like most ICO's that never amounts to anything.
