For those of you who make a little profit day trading, do you all have a good amount of money invested in this?

I only invested ~$1,000 so I feel like it's nearly impossible to buy and trade during the day to make any profit. Almost not worth it. With only ~$1,000 in crypto I feel like my only plays should be long term holds?

With $1000 I would pick up some OmiseGo, Vertcoin, Neo. You won't get much Neo with $1000 though. Don't day trade. Can't time market, hodl. You can buy a stack of Vertcoin with $1000. I would wait for it too dip to about 60-65 cent to buy. It will hit $1 within a year probably much sooner. I could easily see $5 per coin because of the low circulating supply.

1k? I'd put it in a long shot/ P&D, like SafeX, and just hope it Moons


BNB has been holding steady above 2.30 but beyond that It has been Volatile as heck with the Tron ICO offerings. Anyone was able to successfully get TRX? No luck here.

I put in 5K originally, and lost half of it over the month of July trying to day trade. Now I watch the 1 day charts and pick things up that look like they should be headed up soon and hold until it looks like that 1 day chart trend is turning then move somewhere else.

I'm up to about 10k in the trading account in just over 3 weeks here in August. Some of that is the fact that July sucked and everything went down, but some is the change in strategy and not trying to chase the hot mover by the minute.

If your time horizon is more than a few months to do this, then 1K is plenty to start building with, and then add a little here and there as you can. I just signed the offer letter on a new job this morning that came with a nice signing bonus, planning to drop that into a few of the more stable plays and just let it ride.

Day Trading and Investing (hodling) are pretty different things.

With cryptos, day trading is MUCH easier in an uptrending market. July was brutal on everyone. I would have been much better off just sitting right.

When BTC breaks $10k in the spring, I'll wish I had a lot more.

Could easily see BTC hitting 10k in late Q1.

My largest bags are NEO, ADX, and OMG. Just waiting for NEO to moon.

I recovered from the July shitshow as well and ended up with a peak of about $15,000 in "profits" by getting a shite ton of NEO at $10 per coin when it went on its rise into the $50s.

When NEO started going back down, I foolishly started messing around with day trading and tried to get in on BNB. Lost some there and kept trying to daytrade to recover the lost NEO coins from stupid decision making. Ended up having 11.5 ETH stolen from my Bittrex, probably from trying to log in to a fake link.

After the theft, I was still a little bit ahead from my initial investment in May, but it was a real gut check. Now I went all in on VTC today to try and fast track the regrowth of my portfolio. If I can get back to a respectable level, I'll probably get back in on Neo.
