People on r/ethtrader are saying someone just entered a market sell order big enough to wipe the order book clean.
No idea if it was that, or if just a glitch in the system, but if it was a whale cashing out, that comes out to like 32M....
Someone claims to have done some analysis on the GDAX API and said that there was a buy order filled for 24.5K at an average price of .55/ETH. If that was a legit transaction and not some glitch, that means someone turned 25k into over 13 million in a few seconds.....

Right now Gdax shows my orders as filled, but I don't have anymore ETH in my account. Looks like I've lost 1k at the moment. I predict Gdax will be out for a long time.

I mean you should use GDAX. Or something where you can do limit buys/sells.

I think a lot of these transactions will not stand. We will see though.

idk what kind of precedent that will set though if they roll back transactions that were legit.
If it was, in fact, a whale who dropped 32k ETH in a single market order, causing a stop limit/margin call cascade, then thems the breaks imo.

Don't worry. I've got you. I saw it go down to $309, up to $315'ish, then back down to $311. I got busy at work for a minute and got in at $320 to ride it back up to $350-$360'ish.

Or he could have told all his buddy's he was about to cash out and cause a crash and to load up.
