Full disclosure: I'm very pro-Ethereum. Understand that I have a huge bias in what I say regarding ETH:BTC.

From a technical perspective, it's a bad time to swap ETH for BTC. The upwards trend since May has not broken down yet, and I don't expect it to break down until after this cycle peaks.

Lots of indecision right now. This is definitely a possible inflection point.

I expected the market to front-run, but it didn’t. Let’s hope we can stay above the moving averages.

I sure hope so.

7b in BTC shorts between 117-118 that could liquidate.

My perception is the aggressive bounce off 108k is extremely bullish. Cautiously optimistic.

Always a good sign when we are nearing ATHs again and it’s radio silent on Money Talk

New IRS ruling for corporate Bitcoin ownership could open the floodgates for very large institutional Strategic Bitcoin Reserves (with over $1B in Bitcoin holdings). No longer do companies like MicroStrategy need to be concerned about the possibility of paying taxes on unrealized Bitcoin price gains.

Everyone is hoarding cash waiting for 75k bitcoin next summer. It’s going to be an interesting next 12-18 months.

This phenomenon is why it won’t happen. Bitcoin won’t fall below 80k until you’re too scared to put money into bitcoin at 80k.

It probably won’t go below 100k for at least another month or two without some sort of bullshite happening

The cycle is priced in IMO. If we had no notion of cycles, we’d be at 200k+ already and we’d get overextended etc. Everyone is hedging and there is a big melt up on the other side of that. Ironically, that could cause a parabolic move and subsequent crash that has nothing to do with how we think of cycles.

That’s the way it should be but it isn’t. People like to buy at ATH when it’s running. They are terrified to buy when it crashes.

This thread and thw SLI thread are about the same. When it’s running all you hear is I wish I would have bought more at x price. When it crashes back down to x price you hardly ever see any comments about buying

This is definitely true for the average Coinbase trader. The btc HODL in cold storage crowd is different. That’s really who I was referring to.

My 80 iq take is that the crypto complex is waiting for a big bitcoin pump before it starts moving but bitcoin stops looking comfortable as soon as alts start running. So, we’re in a Mexican standoff.

I think BTCD is in the early stages of grinding higher again.

Your 80 IQ take is correct. There’s a standoff between alts and BTC right now.
