My plan was to short it near 100k expecting the dip but this surge has me questioning everything. 95, 96, 97 and pushing 98 just in a few hours

I was expecting similar. Guess we’ll see. Crazy times.

Too many people and funds are buying right now, probably trying to front run a strategic reserve by the US. Some miners aren’t selling, and adding the coins to their holdings, so with the prospects of limited supply, this could be parabolic, which is what we are witnessing; and not complaining, never seen a more profitable week in my lifetime. I know it ends at some point, but may just be a relief dip and back to skyrocketing… nervous times with when to sell and lock in some gains vs getting too greedy

Honestly we might just break right through 100k with no dip. I have no clue. I’ve just about decided to stay in considering the long projection to Q4 2025.

If it does dip I’ll just buy more

I just wonder who sets their sell order for $100,000 on the dot or slightly over. If I'm a long term holder looking to cash out, I'm probably setting my limit order around $93K-$96K and letting someone else worry about whether they get the last few dollars they feel like they deserve.

I bid on projects for a living and I always try to come in just short of big round numbers in case the other guy selling has the same rate and uses the round number.

To me, it seems like the biggest hurdle for $100K would be on the buy side. The temporary sticker shock associated with 6 figures. Saylor and IBIT buyers seeing $55/share probably mitigates that a bit.

Edit: $98K didn't put up a fight at all. I'm curious to see how this goes. I'm not convinced the last mile is going to be as difficult as everyone thinks.

ETH just liquidated a bunch of shorts that had piled up.

As good as this is, it is just getting started in my opinion. Sure there will be dips and pullbbacks along the way, but I think there will be some days ahead with face melting gains like we have never seen. More and more buyers are coming on board. The big cash hoarding companies like Apple, Microsoft and many others, State government treasuries, pension plans haven't even joined in yet in mass with the FOMO. Bitcoin is going to go ridiculously high in the near to mid future.

Started selling contracts at $93,840. Several times I had to average down. I'm now short at $96,601.11. I'm just trying to get out break even at this point. I'm 9 contracts deep, which represents 45 BTC. I started this trade 100% cash, now I've eaten up a lot of my available margin.

Breaking even, and I'm almost there, is going to feel like winning.

I was way on the wrong side of this swing since about 4:00 PM CST Tuesday.

I'm not touching it. Was dabbling in volatility trades, but this last week I have no confidence in an entry point. Just sitting back with watching (and of course regretting not buying more btc years ago).

That's the beauty of it. There is no resistance. We only have support. We're in price discovery.
