ETH looking real strong, atm. Successful testnet merges and a roundabout merge date have ETH leading the rally. TBD if it's a bear rally or actual recovery.

TBH I think this.

Macro environment still too unfavorable.. but it could mean a lower floor for ETH post-merge.. it will likely be deflationary

Are Robinhood wallets considered off an exchange and are they safe?

Looks like Robinhood wallets are currently custodial, so NO. Maybe technically they can't/won't rob your wallet of money, but "not your keys, not your crypto". If they manage your wallet, they can do whatever they want with your crypto.

Here's the waitlist for non-custodial wallets:

Safe is relative in this space. The only sure way to know your crypto is your own is your own hardware wallet.

The lesson has been learned time and time again for over 10 years.

The only safe place is a hardware wallet. There is nothing else.

Unfortunately people love middlemen. They'll never get this.

Hardware/cold wallets are safer than hot wallets because you have to physically intervene to make transfers happen, but there's still a world of difference between hot wallets and exchanges/custodial wallets.

Properly managed hot wallets are nearly unhackable, but you still have to be vigilant for social engineering.

I have a ledger that I’ve never used but I don’t want to pay fees everytime I move a crypto to it. I buy with a dca method so ok constantly acquiring it

You can buy directly through Ledger Live to your hardware wallet. I've never done it, so I don't know what the fees are. It's basically nothing to go from a CEX to your hardware wallet. I just looked at my last transfer, and it was a .0005 eth fee to transfer 2 eth. The eth price at the time was $1200, so 60 cents. Whoopty-do.

I also DCA. What I do is I set dollar caps on what I keep on exchanges. When it reaches that much, I transfer off.

It has been a while. Bitcoin fees now are pennies (most of the time)

You shouldn't post things like this without explaining this position. It makes you sound like a troll.

ETA: Nevermind. I see from your previous post you don't trust any of the exchanges.

I mean c'mon, all we have seen over the past 1-2 month are these yield platforms getting crushed and taking customer's deposits with them on their way down. It is pretty obvious and well known why he is saying that and he isn't wrong about it.
