What’s a layman’s version of Polygon? Looked into it when I saw it mentioned here but held because on putting any money into it because I couldn’t understand it.

Polygon (with ticker MATIC) is a complete multi-chained system, a framework as well as a protocol. It connects Ethereum-compatible blockchain networks and is built to solve the scalability issues on the current Ethereum network. It is a layer 2 solution, i.e it works on top of Ethereum's primary blockchain. It helps with gas fees and speed.

its an Eth L2/side chain with low fees.

so it can leverage the existing Eth user base & liquidity, plus it starts from a smaller marketcap

i think a big winner in 2022 will be the eth L2 with most adoption and lowest fees/fastest transactions so polygon or unknown zkrollup

eth will make gains, but these other plays have higher potential (thats just my speculation)

Just did a first for me and took advantage of the dip to gains some tax advantage. I was underwater on Jasmy, so I did a quick transaction to tax harvest. Should end up within a few dollars of zero taxable income. Now I just need to hope Jasmy eventually goes back up

Not sure if y'all do the airdrop thing, but there's 10 days left on the DXDY one.

NOTE: Referral link above.

List an ETH address with them and get 10 of the coins. Their estimate is that they'll be around $30 upon release.

Don't like it? Flip it to BTC/ETH once it's out there. Free money.

fan of matic, lot of big games moving in. developers who are launching now can't wait for eth sharding.

matic rpc issues from summer are long gone. it's greatest strength is also a weakness since contracts are cheap/easy to deploy it's going to attract a lot of scams.

Come on man. Be honest and tell people you are linking your own referral link. This airdrop gives 10 of the coin but requires a minimum 50 coin withdrawal. They make you spam friends in order to get the coins so you can’t really get 10 coins of “free money”. This is like a crypto version of a chain email and you should feel bad about it.

There's a difference between DXDY and DYDX, you are correct.

Given the referral link is all I have for the airdrop, it'll have to do.

Don't like it? Don't do it.

I think it’s running off up addresses to limit sign ups, got a vpn? You can do a bot that changes your ip, then signs up a new metamask address.

There's also another one for the Sologenic token (SOLO) that has no referral component, but is split equally between XRP and SOLO holdings/trustlines. BitForex is a participating exchange, and you can also use the SoloDEX wallet.

I've seen folks discuss using separate browsers to boost your own referrals, but they specifically address that in the DXDY airdrop page, and it would seem that they might have some way of tracking that, but I don't know that for certain.

For real - standard procedure here is make it known it is a referral link and provide the non referral link as well as an option should someone prefer that. We are all here to help each other but make it full disclosure
