Negligible fees and a blazing fast network.

The ecosystem isn’t at ETH levels yet, but when it gets there...mother of god...

Didn’t want to start a new thread, but what are your thoughts on solid places to get good info on crypto, mainly on smaller cryptos. Could be specific sites, YouTube channels, discords, Patreon, whatever. Try not to be snobby. I will read through the last 30 pages or so and see what I can find

I honestly don't know that there is. with its use case, fees and more people moving over I feel like it's just going to keep going.

well BTC seems poised for the rally up to the ATH relatively soonish, so alts should have a little more time to run after that. Maybe another 2x before the blow off top?

To me the more interesting question is where we crash to. It all depends on where we end up going at the top, but I don’t think we are going to see some enormous 85% drawdown of these larger projects.

The president announced a 500 BTC coin purchase today and says they are planning on buying more.

Wasn't something announced to be running on Algorand last week? The price has went up significantly in the last few days.

ETH seems to have stalled out. It has been on a heck of a run. Is there any thought people maybe moving money from ETH to SOL during this latest move up for SOL (last few days)?

Well, ETH market cap has gone up over $200 billion since July 19th, so people have not been abandoning ETH on a large scale for months to go to SOL whose entire market cap is $57 billion. ETH has stalled out in the last week while SOL has rocketed to another level, though.

I am thinking of pulling a substantial portion of my portfolio that is in ETH and putting it in SOL, even at $200 level.

that's not the way to directly compare the two obviously. eth can suck marketcap away from other chains while still losing cap against sol

sol is up +270% vs eth in 3 months on the sol/eth chart. LINK

plus its averaging more tx per user, and has 2x more daily users than eth right now.

it costs between ~$250-$1000 in fees to simply mint an nft on Ethereum vs pennies to mint an nft on sol so retail is just getting priced out

swapping tokens on sol is also less than a penny

Thanks. I wasn’t asking about comparing the two. You answered my question with the second sentence, though. If ETH is sucking market cap away from other coins then there is still room for ETH to continue going up. I don’t care if they are dumping other coins for ETH or if it’s new money, I just wanted to make sure all of the move for the last few days into SOL was not from ETH. There is also obviously a whole lot of new money flowing into crypto, so I realize it’s hard to tell exactly. You answered my question, though.

How are you all staking Solana?
