I’ve doubled my money in a month with Pancakeswap.

So I converted and bought a ton of Cardano yesterday and this morning. And, it has paid off pretty well thus far. What is the consensus on the ceiling for Cardano and is this Alonzo Fork/Update a plus for it price wise and will it actually compete with ETH? Just trying to get some insight. Ive done my due diligence but everything is pretty much speculation.

coinbase finally realizing that they should probably hold bitcoin/crypto on their balance sheet if they expect other companies to hold it lol
really was mind-numbing how little they had

I’ve long felt their company valuation wasn’t sustainable because they’d have to lower their fees as competition increased
That should help their stock price as they become essentially a crypto ETF

I've started staking some of my hex. What's the deal with some of these random days with a spike in the payout per T-share? Is there a way to know when those will happen or is it just luck? Is it worth it to wait around and not stake until we get one of those days with a spike?
Also, once this pulse airdrop hits, do we expect a huge dump? I thought I read that a huge percentage of hex are not staked.

Spikes in Tshares are extra payout when other people emergency end stake which is then divided out to all other stakers.

No those spikes are unpredictable. It’s best to stake as early as possible as Tshares continue to rise and be more expensive to obtain. It’s also best to stake more and longer instead of dividing up smaller amounts through different years. It’s all about those Tshares. You can play with the calculator at go.hex.com and see how many Tshares you would get by staking.

Usually after there is an airdrop there is a dump, but I don’t think anyone expects it to be huge. There are a lot of people not interested in Hex that are pumped about Pulse. The thinking is that pHex will pump while eHex may take a small step back, but eventually they will equalize out. People will buy whichever coin is cheaper. It’s just human nature.
One of the best parts about Hex is that even if you aren’t interested in staking and locking up your investment, just holding Hex is still super profitable. Right now less than 10% of people stake their Hex which is why the interest gained by staking is so high. The more people that stake, the lower the interest, but also the higher the price of Hex so it evens out.
Right now Hex is the number 3 crypto by market cap. Of course market cap is a whole other discussion. Nomics

All good info thanks. I've been playing with the calculator and an excel sheet most of the morning (+ plus some actual work).
So once the pulse hits, will the staking mechanism be the same? Except I'll just need pulse to pay the gas fees for the phex I'm staking?
