I’m think I’ll be selling this rumor this time. just seems like we need a breather. But then again it might run up some more…

yeah something is up because the bill itself is not bullish
Senate is voting on the bill without any provisions meaning miners could be required to have KYC on every single person whose transaction is verified on their verified blocks and anyone contributing to mining or staking pools will likewise need to be sent 1099s by the owner of the pool
seems all this would do is push mining and staking to some third world country and make it harder to access staking pools without going through a centralized entity

agreed that the text of the bill is not ideal
my point is that I think politicians are starting to realize how huge the crypto industry is and will be in the future as the response from the crypto community because of this bill has been overwhelming to say the least
these pumps aren't retail

I think the crypto provision of this infrastructure bill should be tabled and discussed at a later date with senators that are actually educated in this space
and Yellen should butt out. Honestly between her stint at the Fed and at the Treasury I think she's done more than enough to the dollar and now she wants to make it harder to reach the life boats because that's the wishes of her corporate owners.

agreed. I'm all in favor for the Cruz amendment. he seems to get it more than most.
yellen is trying to pull strings for the banks however there's so much money in crypto now our community also has political leverage.
I've said it before but Bitcoin/crypto will be at the forefront of the next presidential debates

like I feared the current proposal says they want your open source wallet to have built-in 1099 reporting

I’m generally curious if they even have an actual plan for how to adopt and implement these “changes” that they put in this amendment. They clearly don’t have that great of an understanding of this realm, so for now it is just words on paper.

highly doubtful. compliance will voluntary with the fear of the IRS coming after you for not following the law

I’m calling it for me and booking some profits here. Seems awfully wobbly up here and being up a significant amount since DCAing into positions from June and July can’t go wrong.
Been a wild ride the past couple months and hope to get a dip to buy soon. And if it run, it runs.. hopefully doge dies in the meantime.

The crypto community has a frickload of money and needs to put its money where its mouth is and start donating to pro-crypto politicians. Money wins elections unfortunately and we need more crypto friendly people in congress.

But they’ve got not fiat to donate?

vote coming up and we need a unanimous vote to pass
Posted on 8/9/21 at 3:29 pm to rocket31
frick. Bernie Sanders’s and Richard Shelby are fricking this up.

Richard Shelby(R), Alabama, is going to get roasted for destroying this amendment because he wanted include his amendment for more defense funding.
Posted on 8/9/21 at 3:49 pm to lighter345
That fat old frick voted no because he didn't get his amendment approved. frick you Dick Shelby
