since Vitalik delayed eth 2.0 until late 2022 (lmao) that's another good sign

Where are you seeing this reported? I tried searching, but only one article came up and it didn't include quotes. All the crypto subreddits are pretty quiet about it, too.

if you keep delaying shite there's always a future catalyst to look fwd to

wouldn't be surprised if ADA kept delaying smart contracts for the same reason

Gotcha. Thanks for the link. Sharding was delayed a while ago. While I wouldn't be surprised at all if the PoW to PoS transition doesn't happen late 2021/early 2022 as currently advertised, there at least hasn't been any official word yet that it's delayed (again).

So will people stop recoiling when I say Eth is unsustainable as a viable alternative to fiat?

All the top players should get together and start over. Crypto should be done in a way so people want use it for actual transactions instead of the current paradigm where it is treated like stocks.

Something like ADA makes more sense as everyday transactional money than eth.

Upper wall for the wedge appears to be 39k-39.5k.

I’d feel pretty confident in a bull victory if btc attains and sustains 40k.

Conversely, if btc fails to take 40k tonight or tomorrow morning, I would look for a red weekend.

Pulse may be the viable ETH fork and it's close. I'll be investing in it day 1.

Feeless and fast settlement are required, imo.

After that, a "fiat" like transactional everyday use crypto would need either:

A. Government to apply less burdensome tax treatment (i.e. treat as currency for tax purposes)

or

B. An internal network or ecosystem large and diverse enough to not require frequent cashing in and cashing out.

I hope so. Right now I'm basically split evenly between bitcoin, ada, matic, doge, and dogelon. I have a little bit of eth and some other alt coins but not really enough to notice if they pop.

It is especially wild that Vitalik Buterin is probably worth around $20b now because of all the shite coins he has been gifted. (Doge, SHIB, AKITA, Dogelon, etc)

The $1b worth of Ethereum he has is only like 5% of his wealth.
