I’m watching the 99 moving average line in the 1h graph on binance real close.

That’s what the price is bouncing off of right now.

The last time it crossed in a down trend was at 57k.

The price jumping that line in an impressive fashion would be a buy signal IMO.

I've bought crypto for years but it's been as simple as "I've got some extra money so I'm gonna buy some crypto with it now". Where can I find a beginners guide to understand the stuff you just said?

Binance academy is pretty straight forward and investopedia has a crash course in interpreting charts.

Just be aware it’s very much an inexact science

Don't need a tin foil hat to see we are experiencing an attack on multiple fronts. Whether they are coordinated or not doesn't really matter.

if you are converting to fiat, the easiest exit ramp most people are going to use is an exchange and you will be paying capital gains on that

If you are using crypto to barter for goods tax collection is literally almost unenforceable but this is akin to people paying someone cash to mow your lawn, how much money are we really talking about here?

I don’t get what her angle is other than signaling some additional virtue.

She could have lots of angles, to be fair. It's very easy to understand why developing economies or smaller economies would be hesitant or fearful of crypto, but already developed economies can work around some of crypto's decentralization by requiring centralized onramps to buy only stablecoins pegged to their currency, which provides advantages for significant advantages for the relatively stable currencies like the dollar. At the same time, if you want to exchange crypto earnings for dollars, you have to use those onramps anyway, mitigating the tax evasion fears. I guess the other concern would be tracing the movement of money and tying that movement to "bad" actors, but that's an issue in the traditional finance world as well.

should caution though that the CB adds have generally been sell the news events tho once trading has started on there

Go take a look at ICP’s all-time chart. It was down over 50% in its first 30 minutes of trading. Wonder what will happen to Doge when it hits CB

Yeah and Sushi hit an ATH in anticipation and then dumped 50% after CB listing. It finally made it back to test those ATHs a couple days ago but of course bitty had to crash and put an end to that

It will dump exponentially but come back up, especially if Robinhood still doesn't let you withdraw from it. They would probably all sell from there and go to coinbase.

Well actually idk if this is correct since robinhood already paid for all those coins... hmmm

As in fun to talk about but nearly useless IMO.

TA is one of those things that would be completely useless if there weren’t actual believers in TA. The self-fulfilling prophecy aspect gives it its only real world use.

This really isn’t true. Cup and handle and whatever shite yeah but it defines ranges pretty well and gives you an idea when runs are going to happen.

The only thing that can tell you what direction the market will go when the run occurs is your perception of market sentiment but it’s reasonably accurate defining breakout points to the point it’s better than guessing.

Long term TA can definitely be helpful. The short term stuff like you say is all self fulfilling.

SOL is going to be a big deal. It's got everything you'd want if the bull run continues

When I find funny is when someone shite talks technical analysis but then a few post later talks about how theyre. downward cost averaging. Bro how do you even know your downward cost averaging and at what extent if you don’t do any TA

This is on my radar to get bags of during the off-season if it doesn’t make a big run this cycle
