Do you see many public companies announcing now that they are carrying BTC?

Funny, I'm sure you were saying the same thing months ago for the Big Pay Day.

the energy use of Bitcoin is to secure the network. it's a feature, not a bug

now if we wanna argue the grid should be greener, then I agree with you but bitcoin needs to use energy to secure the network that's worth billions of dollars

that's what these other pleb coins like nano do not understand. a random DoS attack can take it down for a few grand. you don't want to store your money in something so fragile

elon has an agenda or he is a tard. I'm leaning towards both

Thats the final nail in non-govt controlled crypto. The public will suck up GovCoin because they will refuse to wait in line again for gas, groceries due to a crypto heist

its way too late for that. There will be no meaningful banning of untraceable cryptos, its a worldwide market the gov can't regulate it for the world. underground/criminals will still be able to use those cryptos even if there is govcoin adoption.

what would the difference in gas shortages be if they paid the ransom in USD, gold, or mardi gras beads instead of crypto?
the net difference is nothing, maybe even a milder shortage because the ransom was payable ending the hack sooner.

Hope not! Because I'm calculating just how much I need to keep in my checking for CC and mortgage coming up and piling everything into these cheap sats

But can you sell? That’s what I’m confused about, isn’t it locked up?

You can lock it up (called staking)...or you can keep it liquid.

You don't have to stake.

Those things require storage space. Crypto doesnt. Mobs and cartels are always being tracked by their movements to and from the safe house.

Crypto doesnt offer that tool. So governments across the planet will ban the currently known crypto markets to prevent hackings like this one
