My plan is to buy bitcoin and hold it with about 80% of what I put into this, and dabble with random shite with the other 20.

I'm not. I don't see a scenario where it isn't overpriced.

Crypto market and stock market at all time highs, in exuberance phase, forgetting about crypto winter, revenue tied to trading volume (see crypto winter), no moat, etc.

What other revenue sources does Coin have? Custody?

Thanks for the info Iowa. Have you looked at any of the stable coin yields for anything that you don’t want exposed to BTC?

No. Because I don't fully understand all of it. I started to look at one place that would mine for me, but again, I don't understand any of this to the point of being comfortable.

Still trying to learn as time allows.

Whats a good crypto for dummies read?

I still don't understand what physically is going on here. I see all this stuff about blockchains, staking coins, mining etc but none if it really makes any sense to me. Am I basically leasing out my availabe computing power? Right now it just feels like I'm using money to stick my flag in a piece of a finite pie and other people want pieces of it so I can sell my piece to them, but why do we want this pie?

Woof. Going to need a dedicated hour for that. Tried glancing through it and that is NOT straightforward for a tech dummy. It does cover the general premise very simply though.

Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon on CNBC: “I think Bitcoin is on an inevitable path to have the same market capitalization and then a higher one than gold. It’s how fast adoption is happening. Adoption is happening faster than I had predicted.”

And as you’ve said many times here, the real fun is when you realize precious metals is just the tip of the iceberg

For those who like this kind of thing

The Bitcoin network is now valued higher that Brazil's entire stock market combined and the British sterling pound. Moving on up.
