But hang on, can you convert ETH (or BTC) into USD on Polo?
Maybe I'm mixing things up but I know you have to transfer ETH/BTC there in order to buy Golem.

I imagine one of the easier ways would be to transfer you ETH from Polo to something like CB or Gemini and then sell them for cash there.

You can't convert to USD on polo.
You can sell whatever coin you have on there for btc/eth though and send it back to something like coinbase

I think if you jump up to Tier 3 verification on Kraken (Government issued ID, Proof of Residence, SSN), you can deposit $25k worth of fiat. Tier 4 is $100k, but you have to go through a special verification process for that.

Yeah I was thinking Kraken might be the answer. I'm tier 3 certified right now. Have a purchase limit all the way up to $50k USD.
