I quadrupled my initial investment on the dip this morning. If it reaches the high 20s in price I'm going deeper.

I made a short term play on AUPH and will convert that $$ into Robinhood "bitcoin" if price continues to fall

then might take a little buying breather for awhile

Well that's worrisome. That would be bad.

Bitcoin's value is based on the fact that it's never been reset like the eth's of the world to deal with this sort of thing.

Yep. Don't want to sound like an alarmist, but that would be REALLY bad. I've gotten out of BTC for now...want to see how this shakes out.

Is that bad ? Can it get worse ?

Or since they know, will it slow down and stabilize ?

no, if there was actually a confirmed double spend, that's gonna kill one of the pillars of bitcoin in particular compared to other coins.

They can fix it, but alot of the pump of bitcoin is about decentralization and not having hard forks with all the node updates being backwards compatible, and the blockchain has never been reset. That news would be terrible.

Eth has reset the ledger twice I believe for issues, which is easier for them because its more centralized, but that's also a HUGE knock on Eth; because centralization brings with it an attack vector to control it.

I literally just listened to a podcast last night with preston pysch where they were explaining why this WOULDNT be possible

I'm reading more about it, it was eventually worked out apparently in the way it was supposed to work.

That chain was only longer for 10 minutes, and eventually the second transaction worked its way out.

That podcast last night I listened to with jimmy song, went through this exact scenario involving if China decided to create a double spend with all their hash power and the final point was there's no way they could maintain that chain being longer for long enough to kill all the other chains, they would need WAYWAY more of the globalization of hash power.

Disclaimer: I'm not 100% sure what I'm talking about
