I converted all my XRP to ETH about 5 days ago for 10.2 ETH. My only regret is I didn't do that as soon as Garlinghouse announced the lawsuit. Rookie move. I loved the potential of XRP solely from a technical standpoint for this bullrun. I don't care what people say about use case, this is still another spec run. I'll sleep much better knowing my biggest holding is now safe and I still have several small alt coin bags to ride. And who knows, maybe I buy back in to xrp on a foreign exchange when its 5 cents
I'm about to spend about $100 on ENT. Might be burning money on fire but it's an interesting project out of England. Anybody else read up on it?

Edit: @James, idk mine shows up as available balance "$450ish" underneath on the withdraw menu and it has above "you have $0 available for withdrawal." idk. Maybe there's a longer hold since I don't use my Coinbase too frequently but I would think selling, and the sell posting and completing, on 11/30 would be cleared to withdraw by now.
I just received my $20 test withdraw from Coinbase into my bank account today. I sold the coin on Saturday and today's Monday. Not bad at all.

No reason to jump at that price. Just be patient. OkCoin suspending on Jan 4. Coinbase on the 19th. Kraken, Grayscale, Genesis, and everybody else on the CRC is going to suspend. By the last week on January you should have your bottom price. My target is 10 cents, maybe less. Buy on a foreign exchange.
I think ultimately XRP comes out of this ok longterm and I'll use the mass exodus in the US as a buying opportunity but this riding the boat to the bottom of the ocean by all the hardcore XRP army is just wild to watch... and I like XRP.

ny of you going to dip back in? I feel like it has at least another solid pump left in it regardless of its long term prospects

The SEC is going after them....not the same.
Could be in court for a long time.

They are being delisted on every US exchange and the case being brought is stronger the more you look at it. There really isn’t a place for them, nobody is going to sell them as a security. Not getting completely out of XRP is reckless at this point. Dealing with shitcoins can have serious consequences.

To be fair coinbase just suspended, not delisting. And I think that's what you'll see several other CRC exchanges do as well.
I think there are plenty of scenarios where the execs who sold will have to pay a shite ton of money and some kind of deal to be made on the escrow. SEC lawsuits do not mean automatic company death. I think what we are seeing is a bunch of posturing by Garlinghouse and Ripple and behind the scenes they are likely begging for a resolution.

I think you are right about this. XRP is not a security in multiple G20 countries and will continue to be used (SBI in Japan is a big investor). That being said the SEC suit is going to be very painful for US holders. Price obviously will tank for a while and XRP probably misses out on this bullrun. I think ultimately it will be declared a currency by the SEC or in court but that will take some time.

Can you explain to me what the actual XRP coin is used for on their platform?
Posted on 12/28/20 at 9:25 pm to TigerTatorTots
Originally designed to be a cheap and fast bridging asset between currencies for settlement. It also is the native token for the XRP Ledger that can have other use cases built onto it (such as defi, dexs, and smart contracts). It is not necessary for all transactions on the XRPL but is always the fastest and cheapest.

I also will say that there is a current thread on r/cryptocurrency asking about what other crypto to use to send funds from one exchange to another. Seems kinda ironic to me that the same people that screamed there was no use case for XRP were literally using it exactly for what it was designed to do. They were sending value from one exchange to another to swap one coin for another abd using XRP because it was fastest, cheapest, and most commonly available.

If XRP goes <= .05 then I will drop a G on it.

So I traded all but $50 XRP for another coin about a week ago. XRP has tumbled since so I’m happy about that, but I’m pretty much stuck with this little bit of XRP for awhile, at least, right? It’s down to $33, not concerned, just making sure I can’t move it somewhere else to at least hold on to that last tank of gas.

I wouldn't hold any right now...it's going to keep going down. No point in losing money.
Most people won't even know where to buy it once it's delisted off Coinbase etc. (so it's going to be a lot harder for it to come back up). Unless, by a miracle (not very likely), the SEC drops it's case and it's re-listed (2-3 years from now at minimum).
