What is the best Bitcoin etf? I want an etf that buys and holds bitcoins

GBTC is the biggest and they are actively buying BTC to back their fund. You do pay a premium over the equivalent dollars spent on actual bitcoin though. I believe that premium is up to about 20% now. Essentially for every $1200 you buy of GBTC, you are owning the equivalent of buying $1000 in straight bitcoin.

I can’t stand how crypto works with taxes. Would rather just be able to use Fidelity.

it isn't any different though.

Buy Stock A, Sell stock A, pay taxes on the gains.

Buy crypto A, sell crypo A, pay taxes on the gains.

Buy crypto A, trade it for crypto B, pay taxes on the gains at the time of trade for crypto A.

You can't trade stock A for stock B so that is the only difference here, but the difference is more restrictive than crypto.

Then why don’t you sell and just have less stress?

You have to use that cointracking thing though right? I like to be able to just plug my trades straight into turbo tax through my broker.

There are plenty of programs you can connect to your accounts on exchanges through APIs that will give you a file to directly input into TurboTax. I used TokenTax.io last year and it worked great.

I'll probably be very wrong but I'm not super bullish on the long term outlook for this market

Why not? I think 2020 was the most bullish year ever for crypto. I’m more confident than I’ve ever been that this technology is going to succeed in incredible ways.

You and everyone else .. Now add in all of the "fund managers", "institutional money", etc. that everyone keeps saying is coming like a tidal wave. Hell, I even saw people referencing how the worlds richest people - Rothschild, etc - will be flooding into crypto

Historically, every time we've seen that kind of confidence, we were moments away from the floor caving in

Trying to determine if I should dump some back in.

I sold at mid 19 few weeks back. Any advice.

I’m the opposite. I’m thinking of pulling 25% out today. Moving to another coin. What though?

after pacing a hole in our floor the past week watching my alt positions dump.. I happily closed out most of them in small profit, leaving behind some Fingers Crossed Bags

Logic would say that this thing will come back and retest that breakout.. but this is all-time high BTC.. so who freakin knows
