That would be you. Nobody has whined, cried, or wishcasted for lower 'rates' on here more than you since you are over leveraged and can't sell your 800 sqft cuckbox condo you live in.

Tariffs don’t cause inflation. That’s always been a nonsensical narrative intended to be consumed by morons.

Complete hogwash

If you sell washing machines in the US and a tarrif hats tacked onto those washing machines of 15%, do you think the sale price should just stay the same?

That would depend on profit margin pre tariff and whether you want to maintain market share. The results tell the story, none of that Chinese cheap stuff sold on the TikTok shop went up on price.

My company just issued a price increase for next year with the only change being tarriff costs yoy. Its unavoidable on some things where domestic primary pricing is absorbing the tariff. ( see aluminum, domestic price of aluminum per lb went up by almost the exact same % as section 232 tarriff ). I dont think theres a single vendor we buy anything from now that doesnt have a tariff surcharge at the bottom of invoice now. Its certainly blown up our costs. Increase prices or sacrafice earnings are the options, the increased producer costs will find a relief valve, its not like they dont exist.

Makes me think inflation would almost be in target if not for tariffs. However tariffs should be worked out of yoy comps since its not an ongoing increase and inflation metrics just measure raye of change. so not sure how it will play out, but its there.

tariffs on top of low inflation is barely a blip but all these stupid fricking people didnt give a frick when Biden had sky high fricking inflation because of his war on energy and off the charts government spending. yes Tariffs raise prices and bring in revenue but guess what inflation will continue to come down from Biden BS under current policies
