Call it what you want, it is 15% more cash (or shares) beyond what you borrowed - I call that interest (and it is accounted for as interest effectively)

I am hearing rumors it may be 20% this time which I hope is not true

Why is this necessary for NBIS to acquire the capital?

The build outs needed to support these hyper. Scaler contracts are extremely capital intensive upfront. - it ultimately provides significant return on the backside because the expenditures have significant life - you just have to watch the leverage levels that's where core weave and Oracle get looked sideways sometimes because they've really gone heavy debt.

In the grand scheme of things NBIS has done a great job, keeping a decent balance sheet in light of this

What do you think of Agrippa’s critique of NBIS from earlier today?

Here’s a response.
His point about transparency, or lack thereof, was exactly what I was thinking.
I don’t think it’s a cop out either.

Remember when a bit more info came out about the Microsoft deal and sent us beyond $120 for the first time?

honestly, I only glanced at it - once I saw he was trying to extrapolate the gross margin at 200 million to what it would be when these massive contracts come in (ie assuming the same) - he lost me. There's no way their cost structures 100% variable that there won't be some significant leverage with these massive deals.

I can't comment as much on the lack of clarity going forward because I really haven't tried to look much on the expense sign in the future - right now I'm very revenue focused so these players can build out the data centers and have multi decade assets to generate massive margins in the future.

In other words his thesis didn't do much for me. As I mentioned yesterday, I really think this will do better per megawatt given their software - where as iren has more mega watts. I can't imagine that higher revenue per mega that they're actually losing money or having materially lower margins. i do not buy it

Ha! She's been pounding the table on Nebius for over a year now.
Her fund is a major share holder.

Not gonna lie y'all. I didn't truly "get it" until I got curious about the Revolut success story...

It's just laid out so perfectly.
This is the business.
