Perhaps sell cash covered OTM puts. A 3/21 struck at 25 traded at $1.50. If assigned, your cost basis is 23.50.

AVGO up big in post.

promising sign

Broadcom reported first-quarter earnings on Thursday that topped analysts’ expectations, and the chipmaker offered strong guidance for the current quarter. The stock jumped 16% in extended trading.

Here’s how the company did versus LSEG consensus estimates:

Earnings per share: $1.60 adjusted vs. $1.49 expected
Revenue: $14.92 billion vs. $14.61 billion expected
Broadcom said it expects about $14.9 billion in second-quarter revenue, higher than the $14.76 billion forecast by Wall Street analysts. Revenue in the last quarter rose 25% from $11.96 billion a year earlier.

The company said net income increased to $5.5 billion, or $1.14 per share, from $1.33 billion, or 28 cents per share, in the same period last year.

Broadcom’s artificial intelligence business is at the center of the company’s recent boom, which saw its stock price more than double last year. The company is one of the primary data center infrastructure vendors for AI, working both on Google’s custom AI chips as well as providing essential components for networking thousands of other chips together to develop advanced AI software.

Yes, especially this part. It’s all about demand.

Its been quiet on this thread lately…worth noting that NBIS has teamed up with VAST data to increase AI cloud performance

Vast

A few notes on VAST.

quote:

VAST ranked No. 5 on the 2022 Deloitte Technology Fast 500[13] and No. 3 on the 2023 Financial Times list of The Americas’ Fastest-Growing Companies. In December 2023 VAST announced it had surpassed $1 billion in cumulative software bookings; had surpassed $200 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR); and had maintained positive cash flow for the previous 12 quarters with a gross margin of nearly 90 percent.[14][15][16][17] In 2024 VAST was included in the Forbes Cloud 100, a list of the top private cloud computing companies, and was named a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for File and Object Storage Platforms.[18]

quote:

VAST partners with several systems technology vendors worldwide, including Arista, Cisco, Equinix, HPE, Lenovo, NVIDIA, and Supermicro.[28][29]

Yesterday I traded shares in Roth for 2027 leaps.
I own eight '27 calls ($30 strike), and two 26 calls (a $60 and a $30).

Feeling the bottoming out to go bullish? Why not sell covered calls?

Not specific to NBIS, I'm considering entering leaps over the next 1-2 wks.
