Eh, you can always open up a notary office. I always wonder how those people survive. Is there that much notary work?
Those aren't actual barred lawyers though, right?

I just got my commission and seal (after being sworn in as an atty). I need to set up a tent on the side of the road and get some of that action.

Seriously though, I can't see there being enough business in that to survive.

Yeah, I've mainly looked in BR, NO, Lafayette, Houston, Dallas and Austin. I've also looked a little in DC and Atlanta. So to answer your second question, I'd be willing to go to any of these places and possibly others if the right opportunity came along.

How can you look in all those areas? If you are a member of the bar in Louisiana aren't you kind of restricted to only working in LA? Would a firm in Atlanta or Dallas hire you if you weren't barred in GA or TX? I thought that was kind of the bitch of being a Lawyer is that you couldn't move freely without taking another bar.

A firm in Dallas would hire him, but he would then have to take the Texas bar.

Of course, good luck finding a firm in Dallas hiring transactional associates right now.
