Neither one of them are going to be google or anything. Its B4 accounting, how exciting can it be?

From my experience, day 1 will be a nice dinner with the entire interview group, partners, managers and staff, followed by Dave & Buster's or something like that. Day 2 is an AM interview, a nice lunch with 2-3 staff, and an afternoon interview.

From my experience IA typically falls within advisory and not audit.

Anyone that gives this advice without specifically talking about a particular office does not know what they are talking about.
Disregard the Logo as long as you are comparing B4 firms and see how well you fit with the people at the specific office where you would be working.

Interviewed with EY at LSU this past week. Anybody have any experience with interviews, office visits, internship offers or know what to expect?
What office and service line are you interviewing for? I've been with EY for over 6 years now.

I interviewed with EY in the Houston office a while back and received a job offer. I signed up and was granted an on-campus interview. There was a pre-interview dinner the night before with EY professionals and campus ambassadors/former interns. My on-campus interview was very conversational. I was invited for an office visit, which lasted 2 days.
The first day was a dinner at a partner's house. It consisted of all of the potential candidates doing their office visit at that time and numerous EY employees at all ranks. The second day started with a breakfast and presentation about EY. After that, we went to the office. This part of the visit had 3 parts in which groups of candidates rotated. One part was a Q&A session in which we could ask questions about the job, EY, etc. Another part was a presentation about international opportunities. The last was an interview with a senior manager or partner. That is not necessarily the order but just a list. From my experience, the office visit interview was again very conversational. My interviewer was a senior manager who was basically trying to sell EY and why I should join the firm. After the interview, we went to Minute Maid Park to celebrate. I received an email with a job offer within an hour of leaving the ballpark.
If you are extended an invitation for an office visit, you should be in pretty good shape.

Do you know if it is for FSO or general advisory? I started in the NYC office in FSO advisory. Transferred about 6 months ago to The Houston office; however still spend 80+% of my time in NYC.

There are a decent amount of lsu grads that work at EY in houston/Nola that lurk/post.

I don't work for EY so no advice there. But you have to do something pretty stupid to not get an offer after an office visit with any of the big 4

It's not FSO, although I didn't rule it out as an option in the interview. It's for an RAP internship, so general advisory I assume. Are you still doing FSO? Oil and gas?
I'm still doing FSO. I work in our Regulatory Compliance group with Anti-money laundering and sanctions (to a lesser degree) being my focus.
I moved to Houston for family reasons more than a strict business reason. It's why I travel to NYC every week.
I like what I do which is why I don't mind the travel.

Very common misconception, and it is also very wrong. I've seen plenty of smart kids not get offers after an office visit.

Definitely depends on service line and city. Audit in houston you are basically a lock. Advisory/consulting in Dallas its a toss up. Basically more people want to live in Dallas and there is less work. Not familiar with NYC though in terms of offers etc.
