***I don't want this to turn into an investing philosophy thread***

Futures signal below 1350 Today, I predict a bottom below $1000, what say the MT?

I'd be shocked if we go lower than 1k. I think around 1200-1250 is the bottom. Silver below 20 and I'm going in at least 100 oz.

With the Yen and Euro being such a mess, the dollar is really looking better and better every day.

I'd say probably somewhere around $800 / oz., and I think it might take another 4-5 years to get there.

I read somewhere that this is where it should be based on its long term historical average.

If it follows the 1981 decline, which interestingly enough it is close to doing a dollar basis, I'd guess 1100 to 1200.

In 1981 Gold fell approximately $600 from it's peak in a two year period, then rallied ~$250. We've about completed a fall of $600 in 22 months. A nice rally to the $1500 level could occur. After that a fall to ~$1200 would be my guess.

$1,200's.

Once the central bankers have driven down the paper price of the metals in spite of the intense world-wide demand of the metal, then they'll be net long. After that....

it'll be on like donkey kong.

Paper - No bid
Physical - I think it could still go down to 950 or so until there is no more availability/sellers at that price. That would be when the paper market is over.
