I threw a small amount into it just to see what happens. It's up significantly.

With the platform approach, it's likely there will be several similarly efficacious vaccines.

If COVID-19 is around next year, FTM will be critical. It's anybody's guess, but my bet would be on Moderna's product getting there first.

In the meantime, Regeneron's nonvaccine model could make a splash early this summer. Of course REGN has been climbing for 5-weeks on that speculation.

I was in at $4.16 and sold just under $9. If it gets below $6 again in the next week or 2, and I think it’s possible, I’ll get in again. Actually considering shorting or picking up some cheap $6 or $7 puts if it hits $10 tomorrow. This thing is moving at ridiculous levels on news alone. It’s amazing how much fun you can have in the markets with a “crisis” like this

Anyone know anything about CODX? Worth a small bet?

From a different forum:

quote:

CODX these guys are selling covid-19 test kits. Each kit is $700, and now they are making 50K kits per day. Said they can ramp up to 150K/day. Their tech is patented and super accurate. Even by a modest estimate, they will be making a few billion $$/ year if the virus will keep spreading. And it will be, and even if the virus is contained, still most people will need to get tested.

Dumb question but what sites does everyone use to do their stock activities

Novice that wants to slowly get into some investing on the side and go from there as I get more comfortable

Not a dumb question. I just started out too. I put $50 on Ameritrade not thinking that I had my other accounts on Fidelity. Now I have to see if Fidelity will let me transfer it without a fee if these stocks pan out over the next month.

So I use Fidelity. Because that's who my 401k is through and I can meet with the rep at work with no cost. (Not sure if it costs otherwise or not.)

I just started, too. Have 50 a paycheck go into a play account on fidelity. I bought in to codx at $8.65, so I'm in the green. Just wish I had pulled the trigger at 2.65!

How long are you guys looking to stay in? I bought purely on news and rumors and only put a small amount in ($1000). I've doubled up so I'm thinking about selling. Fortunate that I bought something without really researching it and it's been successful, don't want to push my luck.

I've only got a grand in it so I may let it ride. Earnings on March 12th and they say human trials will start on the vaccine in April. If they really are first to market the upside is certainly more than the risk.

This thing is pure speculation. If you are up I wouldn’t hold this over the weekend. It has to correct barring new news.

I took out my $1,000 and let the cream ride. Their financials are dogshit. $23MM loss on $867k revenue in Q3.

I bought 1500 shares at 3.50 and sold it all yesterday at 7.50. Made $6k in about a week. I’d be up another $11k had I held on for another day.

You caught a good wave in which a lot of those companies spiked on the excess of fear. While the INO wave may not break yet, jumping off it to paddle back out isn’t unwise.
