I know what Pinterest is but have no idea what Pinterest does.

And have even less of a clue why PINS is up over 15% today.

Isn't it like baking recipes and unfunny memes ?

Like any social media company, they sell ads.

Apparently they are using "AI" to drive more traffic to the site, of course everyone does this.

I started using it a couple years ago and it seemed like nothing more than an aggregator for Flickr content, because inevitably that’s where it always took me.

I just logged in and now it’s an endless scroll of sponsored content. I’m more than skeptical 500mil people subject themselves to that experience on any recurring basis.

data collection and ads as the others have said plus e-commerce. It used to trade in the 70s then imploded (along with a good bit of my money)
