Tell me more. I am just concerned about the check card purchases. Currently, I don't do online bill pay. I go directly to the companies site and pay there. I mostly pay cash for everything or credit card. Just wondering if it is worth the headaches for 5%.

Do you own your own home ? If so you may want to investigate solar roof panels. 37K is about what you could expect to pay for a 5-6kw system. The govt gives you a 30%income tax credit, you will knock down your utility bills and earn credits by selling renewable energy.. You can expect a 10-12% return on your investment and that number will increase as energy costs rise.

It is a 7-8yr payback, you are right. But
finance it and you positive cash flow on day 1 and still have your 37K. Plus you have increased the value of your home.
