I am in the process of applying for a home owners loan (first time buyer), but I want to find information about the compnay before I sign anything. They are called Team 225 and the loan is through the Bank of England. Anyone have any experience with them? Or know someone who has?

What about them? As long as their fees are normal and the rate is competitive, there's really minimal difference.

They all just sell the loans to larger lenders/servicers.

Not always. A bad customer service team can mess things up.

I used a branch of Bank of England for my condo in Memphis. Overall they were fine, left a few things to the last minute and weren’t great about keeping me updated, but the rate was good and fees were reasonable, no real complaints.

They transferred it to Wells Fargo immediately though, they just originated it. But Bank of England is a legit business, they’re not scammers if that’s what you’re worried about.

Obviously your particular team may vary.

The biggest thing is to quote fees out on both the title side and the lender side to be sure you are not getting screwed. Don’t just blindly trust what your realtor says because they may be getting a kick back.

The Bank of England is the central bank of the country, you know issue the money and such and have been in business since 1694.

Whom you are likely inquiring about is Bank of England Mortgage Company based out of England, Arkansas and unrelated to the former despite the clever name trick

I knew nothing about this company and spent all of 45 seconds on google to find the answer, you really need to do your own research instead of asking questions on an anonymous message board.

IMHO I do not do business with folks who play silly games with names and other such subterfuge.
