It's done this multiple times already, actually, with as much bad news as good news.

Can you not just admit that it's completely unpredictable, even for geniuses like you?

I'm no genius, that's for sure. And I guess I would get it if someone just said "hey, I'm hoping that the reddit crowd bids it up"...but trying to stick to some fundamentals, business model argument is ridiculous for this stock. That's what keeps me coming back, is the people trying to make the business case for buying here. I can't help myself.

ETA: I also find the reddit-sourced evidence of a major short squeeze certain to hit entertaining as well. Seeing that pulled apart and exposed is kind of interesting too.

Exactly, even if theaters were open at 100% and they were filling every seat they owned. I am not sure it can justify it's current valuations.

Yet, here we are at $10 per share when we were in the $2 range before and during the start of the pandemic.

Literally every post myself and others have made in this thread is that the price movement is not tied to anything related to fundamentals or the underlying business. Thus, it's entirely unpredictable. Sorry you couldn't tease that out. That's a you thing.

If the fundamentals don't apply here, you don't need to talk about fundamentals in every post. I guess you assume everyone doesn't understand the fundamentals - we do, they don't apply here so we don't talk about them. You get how that works?

greygoose literally talking about theaters opening up as a catalyst for this stock for this entire thread.

If we're back to fundamentals, re-opening shouldn't hurt. But, who really knows at this point.

Nothing matters with AMC at this point. It's like playing roulette when you buy it.
