Sell your AMC folks. The stock is up 6x. Maybe you made 2x, 3x, I dno. Book the gains. Don't give them back. "HODLing" AMC is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. I repeat, the stock is up 600%, what are you hoping for now? Stick it to the shorts? That has already been done. Jesus this is sad.

How smart of you to pick and choose when to come in and brag. Didn't see you bragging much when it $45 last month?
It was still down from when Greyparrot was telling people to buy above $50, and said he himself was still buying (allegedly, of course). When it was already down significantly from the 52-week high (and people were told to keep buying at those levels, of course).

Challenge is open to compare realized gains for 2021 if you like?
Not sure what that would prove, and I have only sold a few stocks in 2021, but my best was Alcoa, which I bought in March 2020 at a cost basis of $6.26 and sold most of in September at a cost basis of $50.41...a 705% return in a year and a half. What's yours?

Why are you so confident this will not squeeze eventually?
It was never ripe for a squeeze in the first place. It was never in the same position as GME with short interest, AMC issued new shares at every opportunity to dilute and give any shorts that were out there a chance to cover, rapid run ups happen when it first becomes a meme stock not 6 months later, they're going to issue more shares in 2022, top executives are selling every last share they can, the "new amazing solutions" they're bringing forward are gimmicks at best, streaming new releases either without or at the same time as theatrical releases will continue to hurt them, people are getting impatient after 6 months of hodling and getting bled dry (while the rest of the market has been going gangbusters), they haven't slowed their cash burn, and a few other things I'm sure I'm forgetting.

Sell 1/6 of your holdings so you get your initial investment back and the rest is house money. (Or 1/4 so you get profits and taxes out of it, and let the "free" shares ride.) If I remember correctly this is a dividend stonk so you can still make money while holding.
Dull Full disclosure: I don't have AMC myself. I tried to buy when this all started and it wasn't available. But if I had 100 shares I would sell 20 or 25.

Like AT they likely cost some people here a lot of money.
AT actually helped me make money. I did lose quite a bit on HMBL, because I admit to buying in late. I more than made up for it though from buying in ZOM and MVIS early. Sold all of MVIS for profit and have house money still riding on ZOM, because I still think that is a long term play. The point is, that there are no absolutes. You saying that people will lose money on AMC is no different than the ones that say it's going to $100k/share. You only lose when you sell just like you only make money if you buy. There's no point in pretending that you can predict anything with certainty when you refuse to back up your thoughts with $$$.

Looks like it used to be, at least. Last dividend was $0.03 paid in March of 2020. Nothing since, presumably because they've been losing tons of money each quarter, not making any to share in the form of dividends.

This is all fair, but unlike you I'm still bagholding on some of his can't miss picks. They're the worst performers in my entire portfolio.
I think the thing is, while no one can predict the future, most people buy stocks based on fundamentals whereas the AMC/GME/Reddit crew took the strategy of investing in terrible companies and hoping for a squeeze. Aside from a few early investors and people who timed the top who are making out like gangbusters, many are going to lose their asses.
I mean, how many times did we see on here and Reddit that some stock (XELA, WISH to name two, from my friend Carlsoda, or silver!) was "the next GME". Every single time you know a bunch of people tossed a ton of money into those stocks which without fail ended up tanking.

DWAC, bought at an average of $18 sold in steps of 140, 120 and 100. Made $165K

Nice. Just under 700% return on the shares sold at $140. Make sure you sock enough away to cover those short term gains taxes.

It’s a tough day. Period.
Nothing really to gloat about - I didn’t make any money on the way up or the way down here.

Between GME, AMC, and their girl Kathy Woods funds, the Reddit crew is not having a good time right now.

Sorry fellas, we tried to tell you.

Then why are you posting on this thread? Like I said, I'm still quite a bit ahead with AMC. Again, sorry you missed out. It's ashame you didnt't take me seriously.
