Thoughts on hood? Only stock I ever day traded. Gave me way too much anxiety but made a heap of money. Waiting for the big dip to dump it all in amc.

Regardless 80% + 30% = 110%, but that’s not how AMC or any stock share count works.
It’s actually institutional shares + retail shares - short shares = 100%.
When you let someone borrow your share, you lose the right to vote, so all short shares have transferred voting rights to the current owners. It makes perfect sense that AMC, or really any other stock, has more shareholders than 100% of outstanding shares. However, by all official accounts, they don’t have more than 100% of eligible voters.

Why did jim Simons triple his stake in amc to 1.8 million shares while cutting his holdings in tsla by 75%. Why would he do that? Rentec go look it up for those not in this stock. Business insider. Market watch. It’s everywhere. Smart money following dumb money...

What abt all the pension funds loading up? North Carolina pension fund for 1 example. Very conservative in nature. Why would they be buying the shite out of AMC? Based on you wde chitown paradox this is a lose money stock.

I do get a kick out of the investment strategy of finding terribly run and performing companies and throwing money at them hoping it'll become a meme stock. Good entertainment for sure.
