Did you exit your position then?

I’ve entered and exited my position dozens of times keeping a core amount of shares with a 4x stop loss trigger.

I’ll go ahead and congratulate slack and chi town for being correct on page xxx. It’s why they can’t leave this thread. They need that “I told you so” moment. It’s also a “no shite Sherlock” moment but validation is vital to people. I’ll also congratulate greygoose for making over 100% return in a year on one security.
I mean I was obviously wrong about the price action, so no congrats needed there.

Volume is strong today. Wouldn’t be shocking if some of these ITM calls are being secured. However, lots of the ITM calls are also being closed today. Rough count appears to be another 15 million or so shares worth of options being closed.
On the flip side, folks have bought a shite ton of way out of the money calls today. Over 7200 $145 call contracts have been opened today.
There is nearly as many open contracts at $145 as there are at $40.

Ole Slacky is trying to poke holes in the success that AMC stock has had for many (not including himself) any chance he can.

The out of the money options purchases are bullish. The out of the money options are bets the stock price increases. They’re not likely to be covered calls (meaning the writer of the option probably doesn’t hold the stock), so if the stock price increases considerably, there will be additional buying pressure to secure those shares for call buyers who decide to exercise their option on Friday.
The in the money call open interest going down means people who hold those options are not exercising them - don’t get me wrong, a shite ton are still open and will likely be exercised, but the open interest going down means that a gamma squeeze from those options is less likely. That being said, call writers are on the hook for more in the money options today than they were yesterday given the price movement today. Going from $55 to $60 brought 66k contracts into the money. That’s potentially 6.6 million shares that may need to be purchased.
I’ve made it clear I don’t believe the gamma squeeze (uncovered calls being exercised that requires the writer of the call to acquire shares in the open market) is much of an issue because of the high volumes in general, but if you’re betting on a gamma squeeze, today’s action makes that more likely.

Huh? I’ve always been fair about what’s happening with the stock. When things are bullish, I’ve acknowledged it. When they’re bearish, I’ve acknowledged that too.
Just because I think the thesis is bullshite doesn’t mean I’m going to ignore the facts.

and there is your downfall ole Slacky....you are treating this with the old charts and numbers approach and this is not your typical stock behavior.
Its the main reason why many "new" investors are doing well while old "traditional" investors are standing on the sidelines shaking their fist at the notion that AMC is continuously breaking the rules and continuing higher and higher.

You know, those things that don't really exist, right? I wonder if tomorrow's show is going to be about Bigfoot? Oh wait, maybe it will be about a guy who got a "Sasquatch" tattoo on his chest???

I’ll say this though- if his basis is $10.50/shr, and he bought 1135 shares at $58.95, he’d need to have over 36,600 shares at a cost of $9 or lower to still have a cost basis of $10.50 on average. He’s need to have over $2MM in AMC right now for the math to work.

Sold 1000 shares @ 62.90. I think shorts will go full Chernobyl at it tomorrow and will create a great buy opportunity.
