I have a sneaky suspicion that the recent dive in crypto may be hedges freeing up capital for some really expensive decisions they've made concerning AMC, GME, and others.

What is the real short interest though? I'm seeing around 20% which is not extremely high.

He is definitely the guy to listen to on how this will go for us. The person standing to lose potentially more than anyone else if it explodes

and for those asking price target for me 50-60K is what I am hoping

expecting 35K

at 240 shares - 50K is 12m would leave me at 6m after capital gains to start a new life

remember 50% capital gains tax was passed recently... why? the govt getting their share of this

So someone school me on why citadel is shorting AMC potentially when they already got caught with GME a couple of months ago? Did they not lose as much as speculation or are they just greedy and think they are smarter than everyone?

Look at the image I posted last page. Numbers don't lie. 493 million shares issued. Insiders hold some, as do institutions and are required to disclose when buy/sell. That leaves the rest in the hands of retail. Adam Aron stated that there are over 3 million individual holders of AMC stock. What do you think the average amount of shares are held by retail? 300 shares? More? Let's go with 300. Do the math, that would mean that there would have to be over a billion shares issued, which hasn't been. Therefore, there is a ton of naked/synthetic shares that have to be purchased by the people who created them. When this starts, that's your squeeze.

Down into 27s, lots of people taking profits.... If it goes sub 25, does the dam break and retail sell off?

Has anybody here who's held the stock for more than a day had their shares borrowed? That's the real way to tell. I've just got 25 shares but won't know if anyone borrows them until Wednesday since Monday is a holiday.

This number is seems crazy. Average v. “average” investor seem to get conflated when that 3 million individual holders gets tossed around. If not, the definition of “retail” investor is applied liberally. I’d bet the ape army’s average is 3-500, but who knows how many of them there are. But it’s certain, as soon as there’s a divergence in their battle cry, they’re going to slaughter. Then the bears will start dropping Braveheart memes.

How would you know? Are you getting some kind of super secret report that that tells you that your share were borrowed. Go to Fintel or iborrowdesk.com to see how many shares are available to borrow, and the interest rate charged . Now explain to me how if there is only 10K available to short, how did they short millions yesterday? Naked shorting!

I have shares borrowed pretty much every day for stocks I own and, yes, I get a full paid lending report every day.

Iborrowdesk says the interest rate to borrow is only 6.9%, which is not very high. I had a stock last year, CYDY, pay over 15% in interest and I made a shitload loaning it out in addition to the profits I made when I sold shares.

Doesn't look to me like anything close to a major short squeeze in the making.
