Getting crypto off coinbase (or any exchange)

I have no intent to confirm my info with coinbase by September 23rd. When FTX went down I saw over and over again, “not your keys, not your coins.” What do I need to do in order to get my crypto off the exchange so that I still can buy/sell/transfer? For the IRS agents monitoring TD, this thread is purely hypothetical and I comply with all tax laws.

Without the even a reputable exchange like Coinbase left... How you converting to dirty fiat when you want to sell? P2P?

The more barriers they can put up, the harder it is for users to remove money from their platform. Considering the mass exodus from exchanges, and the actions against binance for blatantly disregarding AML/KYC rules. Coinbase pretty much has to do it.
