I'm relatively new to the investments world and while I do have money to play with, I'm not in a position to buy real estate. I have a fully vested 401k, I make pretty good money, etc.

My question is - is Fundrise is a good tool? Are there better ones? What are the pros and cons? Does anyone have direct experience with Fundrise?

This is the first I've heard of the site. At first glance it looks like non-traded REITS. You don't have to pay 1% annually to invest in those.

Pretty cool site though

I’ve been looking at it sort of casually and thinking about it.

I think I first saw it as a Facebook ad though which just ups my skepticism

Yeah. Their marketing is solid...but, I don't know anyone in real life who is using them. Anyone else?

I have been using them for a couple years now. I am getting a ROI of about 7%, obviously not the greatest out there, but this is also just a small investment to see how it did.

When I first signed up they did not have the option to reinvest quarterly distribution so it is nice to get a random deposit every quarter. They now have it to reinvest your quarterly distribution, I just have not done it.
