Recently opened an account for my 16 year old. What are the board’s thoughts on best fidelity fund for long term?

Does it necessarily have to be a fidelity fund?

I have my ROTH setup through E-trade and right now have ~80% of my holdings in VTV: Vanguard Value Index Fund ETF

I know a lot of people here recommend vanguard funds (not that one specifically mind you)

I use Fidelity for kids 529's. FOCPX has been a solid earner for my daughter. I also just put some money in FSMEX.

I opened Fidelity because of the ease to do everything online.

I like FBGRX for growth, FSKAX/FZROX for total market. Because of how unhealthy the majority of the population is and the condition of most medical equipment that must be replaced, I think IHI is a solid ETF.

But is it a fidelity brokerage account?

You shouldn't be limited to only fidelity funds right?

Fidelity has a zero expense index fund. Maybe more than one. I'd call their 800 number and inquirer about it (them).

that's my main hesitation with oracle coins. it's not that I don't see the purpose and necessity of them but the valuations behind the technology seem absurd when it can be cloned

I have mine split up between about 6 different funds.

I have:

FNCMX. The composite index fund that has earned around 13% over the life of it.
FBGRX. Blue chip growth fund earning around 13%
FBALX. It is about 50-70% equity fund that is earning around 10%
FITLX. It is a large blend but a newer fund that has earned close to 17%.
FPURX. another 50-70% equity fund that is earning around 11%
FXAIX. Index fund earning around 11%.

I went with these but they are mostly aggressive. Been trying to mix it up as best I can.
