Eggs were 2.99 they are now 4.99 and havent moved in 2yrs

You inability to price shop is not my concern - the same one your one anecdote is not the concern of the rest of us in adjudging the claims from the OP.

Even Trader Joe's online is showing $4.49 right now.

Yep. In related news I gained 50 pounds in 2020. Then I gained 40 the next year, then 30, then 20. Only gained 10 this year. My doctor was very happy at my checkup today.
