E-Loan experiences???
Posted by tigerballz on 8/20/08 at 12:54 pm00
Has anyone had any experiences (good or bad) in dealing with E-Loan? I am looking to refinance my home (at a 4% lower rate) and at the same time put some money in my pocket to pay off other bills? It looks like it will go through unless I pull out. Looking for replies.......

Everything in buying a home/refinancing is done via e-mail/fax. So e-loans should not cause concern.
Have you spoke with anyone on the phone?
Look up the name of the bank and make sure the
person you are dealing with is accredited and working there.

I used them for 2 used cars. They sent me an echeck in advance, so it was like I was a cash buyer to the dealer. The approval was lightning fast, and the rate was good. On the first one, the servicer they used was terrible and it was an annoyance. On the 2nd one, the dealer actually offered to beat the rate, so I didn't fund the eloan.

Call around to your local Banks and Mortgage Brokers. Screw Eloan and take the third posters advice with the local guys.

Locked in @ 6 1/2% on a 15 year loan for a home refinance.

If your credit score is > 620, I could have gotten you < 6% for a 15 yr, as low as 5.75% with a discount point.
NovaBill is correct, you should be able to get the 6% today on the 15 year fixed, I would assume that you may be able to get 5.750% by this time next week due to forecasted market shifts--If Eloan has you at 6.5% you need to renegotiate your lock as you are leaving a heap of money on the table--Good luck

Not sure where the discount point quote came from, but that is not the case with the rates I am currently seeing. That being said, there are now price hits on FHA with diffirent lenders if your middle credit score is < 620. Even still, I think someone at Eloan is trying to take advantage of a Tiger fan, I think ESPN owns Eloan

I have use Integra Lending for my loan. He knows his stuff. It would be worth a phone call or email before you lock in with E-loan.
