I just feel that those numbers are close enough. If I feel that 2 + 2 = 5, then the answer is 5.

It was down 171 at the low.
All in all, a good day for my portfolio. Dow up 1.5% for the quarter, S&P up 4.7%!
Futures up 27 for Tuesday. Government shutdown is official.

i just liquidated my 401(k) stocks. had been planning to go to cash anyway for some time. doubled since 2009, so it's sideline time for me.

Low for the Dow today was 216, closed down 136.
Since the boys in Congress are probably out for 2 weeks, it may be time to pull money to the sideline and watch.
