Ah good point. Man, I remember when it was 175M but I'd still rather have 204M + partner + grant + royalty etc

Apparently Albermarle is abandoning ship after failing on their 3rd try

Curious if this is really true

Heard it twice from people leaving the company. Both were operators and not engineers working on it. I know they've shite the bed twice. They're heavily invested in traditional lithium mining. Maybe they figure they can wait and see who can extract and cut a deal with them.

Do yall think its a good time to announce anything or release information regarding FEED or FID?

If we aren't all being played, there should be some significant press releases and announcements in the near future.

I’d be surprised if they announce FEED or DFS completion today and definitely not FID.
We’ve seen a few PFSs and one DFS/FEED and never on earnings call.

It’s good that just last week for the earnings release they reiterated Q3 for DFS/FEED completion and end of year FID target though

Significantly more interest on the call. Great questions, lots of pressure to get the offtakes accomplished.

Any mention of the pilot plant they’re building in east Texas?

Read the transcript.

Excited for the release of the FEED and the East Texas resource report in the coming, hopefully 6 weeks?

I just heard something today. A Lanxess employee that said 2 operators he knew from SLI have moved to east Texas to work on their pilot plant there. Could be the reason for the $1billion share offering. Sounds like they may be planning to develop that sooner than later.

This is the first I've heard of it, but this guy isn't one to make shite up. To me, that's a pretty big deal. Shows that them and their partners are confident enough to spend money to get the big project going.

What’s the point of another pilot plant? Seems like that would be a waste of money if The current one has proven the theory.

The only reason I could see is if the brine has different properties, but SLI could truck brine in and run it in the current pilot plant.

Agree on not wanting another pilot plant, But this is SLI, they appear to be frightened of actual production.

Differences in the brine. Need to run some through to optimize extraction. Need more brine than you can truck in. I'm hoping it will be more along the lines of what they were going to do at Lanxess and be able to sell the offtake. May also be needed to set royalties? It's not wasted money, it'll just be part of the bigger plant in Texas.

Guy also restated what I'd heard about Albermarle giving up on extraction. 3rd time wasn't a charm. Apparently they're going to focus on their traditional lithium mines and partner with someone for extraction if/when they decide to get into it. I can't say for sure, I don't know enough about it, but it seems as if SLI's patents are stymieing other DLE efforts. All this time and money and only one company has successfully extracted high grade lithium from brine.

If this breaks as actual news, it will be huge.

Would make sense. Especially after hearing Exxon had hired away some of their best chemical engineers.
