That's usually the case when people start to pump them on this board. Person pumps them to everyone else after they bought a few weeks earlier. Then the bottom falls out right after they post it to this board. SLI was pumped early on here but many dont buy the hype until it's to late. That's what happened to me on FSLY . I lost my arse on that one.
There are people here that do buy at the right time but don't sell when they are in the green. They are always waiting for some unknown magic number before they sell and if it doesn't make it to that before crashing then it's the posters fault. Kinda lame.

I agree. But the Koch investment and the many technical posts about DFS/FEED/FID (I don't know what this means) gave me the impression that some really smart mfers knew what they were talking about. Lesson learned.

Not sure I'd call this stock dead just yet. Unless I've been missing a ton of news. This was always a set it and forget it stock.

Not much choice for some, I'm riding it straight into the dirt at this point.

Koch getting involved and the guy coming over from Koch had me feeling the same.

It is strange how bad Koch is down on this unless they dumped their shares and we don't know it

With whale players like Koch, it’s difficult, if not impossible, to know their overall strategy. It’s possible that they had long put positions acting as downside protection.

They chose the company who will do the SWA DFS and FEED
“Standard Lithium…today announced the selection of Ausenco Engineering Canada ULC (“Ausenco”) to complete the Definitive Feasibility Study (“DFS”) and Front-End Engineering and Design (“FEED”) services for the South West Arkansas (“SWA”) Project.”
COO Andy Robinson-“Despite recent headwinds in the global lithium macroeconomic environment, our projects remain very attractive. Based on our Preliminary Feasability Study (‘PFS’) results, the SWA Project is expected to sit at the lower end of the cost curve in comparison to other lithium projects…”
“The scope for the FEED includes design and development of technical solutions for the proposed 30,000 plus tpa lithium hydroxide plant and related infrastructure for the extraction facility in addition to a comprehensive DFS report suitable for NI 43-101 reporting. The FEED is also expected to inform the template for Standard Lithium’s future development plans for additional Smackover assets including in East Texas.”

$100m to Koch is like $1k to the rest of us.

SLI is still the first in the field and the only company that has 3 years of experience at DLE. Should make them a sweet buyout candidate if nobody steps in to finish the financing and follow through.

It's up about 60% in the last month
Posted on 1/24/24 at 12:18 pm to ev247
FWIW the time between their selection of FEED/DFS firm and announcement of positive DFS results for Phase 1A was exactly 1 year.

..And who knows how long They drag FID on 1A out? This company with aggressive management would be something to see. All these Canadian natural resource companies feel like sometimes to be Canada's #1 money maker.

They should have been producing for the last 3 years even if they can only stockpile and fully document the results.
I still see comments on stock sites like Seeking Alpha that want to see the concept proven...

You should check out the website and news. Contract signed, unit 1 being moved

They hit $5 in April 2022, but are hanging between .5 and .8 now. Info on Seeking Alpha was scant.

Can the thread be changed to Standard Lithium diving deeper.

Interesting take. What would most likely happen to the stock if this were to take place? Thank you in advance….
